Arroyo's allies moves to rewrite constitution

It seems that Cha-Cha cannot be rest-in-peace, after all criticism Philippine lawmakers (House of Representatives) have passed a resolution to re-write the constitution which aimed to prolong President Gloria Arroyo administration according to critics.

















The said resolution still needs the approval of the Senate, which is dominated by opposition.

"The constitution, written in 1987, limits presidents to one six-year term"

Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile said that it's impossible for Arroyo's allies to do it without the Senate.

Constitution rewrite protest bring an estimated 200 leftist activists in-front of House of Representatives.
